The fourth Grand Prix of the season was the Charlie Zoom Memorial trophy played for last Wednesday in the Sandwick Social club with a great turnout of 24 ladies entering the competition.
The night started with some playoffs to reach the round of sixteen and the quarter final games were Gemma Irvine v Alison Robertson, Rosaine Sandison v Melanie Scott, Janet Dunnet v Mary Stewart and Marcia Pearson v Karen Ridland.
The semi finals were a near repeat of last week after Gemma, Melanie, Mary and Marcia all won their games. Melanie then won 2-0 against Gemma while Marcia also had a 2-0 win over Mary.
In the final, Melanie emerged the winner 2-1 over Marcia.
Well done Melanie! Up to the final, the only leg Marcia dropped was in her first game while Melanie lost her only leg of the competition to Marcia.
