Last Saturday saw the 1st & 2nd Division Doubles take place in the Lerwick Legion with 8 pairs entering on the night to compete for the trophy. The competition saw players compete in two groups of 4 pairings in a round robin format with the top two pairings progressing through to the semi finals.
After some close games in the group stages the Semi finals saw James McNab & Ramsay Hogg beat Nigel & Calum Williamson 4-2 whilst the second Semi final saw Neal Redfern & Kevin Llewellyn beat Sandy & Kenneth Henry 4-0.
The final saw Neal and Kevin take a 3-0 lead before James & Ramsay took the next 2 legs to make the score 3-2. But it was Neal & Kevin who took the next two legs to run out a 5-2 and claim the 1st & 2nd Division doubles title for the first time.
There were there were 180s thrown by Ramsay Hogg and Nigel Williamson and High Checkouts from Kenneth Henry 117 & James McNab 100
