GRAND PRIX RULES 2025/26 (WOMEN’S LEAGUE)
The table below gives a list of the tournaments included in the grand prix setup.
It also lists the points available for each round.

1. All games during a Grand Prix event will be played over the best of 3 legs 501.
2. Names are to be in at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Players have until 8.00pm to be in the venue and ready to play. The Grand Prix held in Sandwick will start half an hour earlier i.e. names in 6.45pm for a 7.00pm start and players have until 7.30pm to be in the venue and ready to play.
3. Any Grand Prix event which has any byes in the first round will see the byes placed randomly throughout the draw
4. Grand Prix draws are drawn by random allocation.
5. Should any Grand Prix singles events have less than 16 players entering no player will receive points unless they win a match in the round of 8.
6. Only members registered with the Association who have paid their membership fees will be eligible to receive the points listed in the above table.
7. Once all six Grand Prix are finished, the points table will be finalised. The top 8 players will automatically be picked for the Shetland Women’s Inter County team.The Women's Intercounty team Captain will then select 4 Wildcards to fill the remaining places and the two reserves.
8. If there is a tie for the final positions then a playoff will be held to determine the places for the main team and the reserves. The playoffs will take place at time and venue agreed on by the committee and all players involved.
