RBL Singles Winner Ramasy hogg,and Runner-Up Andrew Sinspson.

Last night saw 48 players enter the RBL Singles in the Lerwick Legion in the penultimate Grand Prix of the SDA season. Following the early rounds which produced some close exciting games the quarter finals saw Stuart Paul defeat Clive Burgess 4-1, Andrew Simpson beat Roger Irvine 4-2, Ramsay Hogg defeat Liam Sutherland ,hitting a 167 checkout to claim victory. The final quarter final saw Neal Redfern bt Barry Couper by 4 legs to 2.

The semi finals were played over the best of 9 legs and saw both semi finals go the full distance with Andrew Simpson beating Stuart Paul 5-4, with both players hitting a 180 and Stuart hitting a 127 checkout during the game, The second semi final saw Ramsay progress through to the final with a 5-4 victory over Neal Redfern.

The final was played over the best of 11 legs which saw Ramsay take the opening leg before Andrew took a 2-1 lead, winning legs 2 & 3, Ramsay levelled the match in the next, before once again taking the lead 3-2 in the 5th leg. The 6th leg saw Ramsay hit a 1 180 before Andrew levelled once again to make the score 3-3. The following two legs were shared before Ramsay was able to claim legs 9 and 10 to emerge a 6-4 winner and claim the RBL Singles Shield and maximum ranking points.
